Marissa's Story
Marissa McConnell Lostra is a Battle Born Nevada native and has been an Elko resident for over 25 years, where she graduated from Elko High School in 1997. She then attended Great Basin College where she was elected as the Student Body Secretary and received her Associates Degree in Science in 1999. Marissa followed her aspirations for success to continue her education, where she attended the University of Nevada, Reno, and graduated with her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biology in 2003. While attending UNR she played for the Wolfpack Rugby team for two years. Marissa returned to Elko after her college graduation. Mike Lostra and Marissa have four children together. Marissa has been a member of the Elko Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Ambassadors, Government Affairs, Sherman Dinner Chairman. Marissa completed the Nevada Association of Realtors Leadership Program in 2009. She has been on the Elko County Association of Realtors Board of Directors and many local committees for many years and is was the 2019 Elko County Association of REALTOR President. She serves on the Nevada REALTOR Board of Directors and also on numerous Nevada REALTORS committee. Marissa began the pursuit of her career in real estate and obtained her real estate license in 2006 and now is currently the Broker/Owner of Lostra Realty. Lostra Realty has received Elko Daily Reader’s Choice awards, with Marissa Lostra Best Real Estate Agent 2016, 2017, 2018.
